Welcome

Thanks for visiting my blog! I am so glad you are here!

This will be a place where I will post not only your sneak peeks from sessions...but all sorts of other things that will help you get to know me and the things that I like!

Who am I anyway? I am a wife, mother, child, sister, aunt, granddaughter. I am also a photographer. I cherish the titles that being part of a family brings, and I cherish the different family dynamics that I see in all of you. I am so thankful that I am let into your lives and can witness all that is unique about each of your families.

Then...there is the me that loves reading, chocolate and facebook...who loves making silly faces and leaping through the house. I am quiet..but I can be quite silly too. I find that makes it easy for me to relate to kids of any age, and that includes parents. :D

My name is Jennifer Simpson and I can't wait to meet you!

Christmas baby? {Litchfield Park Maternity Photographer}

Since my Kyle had a due date and was born on Christmas Eve, I always wonder when I get a mom who is due around then…are they going to be born on their due date too?  :)   I can’t wait to meet this little guy!   His due date is Christmas Day so we will see!

We had a very informative session…hehe..Learned some things about various desert plants that I didn’t know before!  :D   But Lindsey is beautiful and we just zoomed right through the session!

Fancy… {Phoenix Family Photographer}

This family recently moved to the valley…about a month ago…and in just a few short months from now they will be moving yet again!  I think just in time to miss the summer temps!  :D

We had quite the adventure walking all around…Little Man Elliott celebrated his first birthday just the week before, check out his fancy clothes.  So cute!!  His sister was just adorable, and we had a great time once she got used to me being there..

Love me some guitar.. {Phoenix Musician Photographer}

I met Ivan back when they were expecting their first baby, a beautiful little girl.  I have done their photos over the years since and they just rock.

One thing that I love in life is music.  Especially live music.  If you feel the same way, you have to check Ivan out when he is playing!  Here is his facebook page if you are on facebook, he always updates when he is playing!

It’s a surprise! {Phoenix Maternity Photographer}

I did their maternity photos with their little guy…it was so nice to see him grown into the little boy that he is.  He is dang smart too!  They are not finding out the sex of this baby again, it is so fun!  I can see how exciting that would be!  And this baby is due on my birthday…awww.  :)   I can’t wait to meet whoever is in there, although…I am leaning more towards the boy side..  ;)

Henny & Ev…again! {Glendale Child Photographer}

So I went back to Henny & Ev in downtown Glendale and we did another session with her cute kiddos!  I could photograph them all day, they are the sweetest and funnest kids.  :)

Kind of silly, I was there just a couple week before and it was so warm outside…this day we were all kind of bundled up.  Phoenix weather….ha!

If you are headed to Henny & Ev, she just put out some great pillowcase dresses…love them!!  And you have to check out her selection of books, a lot of old favorites!!  :)

Fun with three! {Scottsdale Child Photographer}

Having three kids myself, I know the dynamics can be kind of interesting.  Not enough hands, etc.  This family also had two boys and one girl like I do, although my girl is the youngest rather than the oldest.  It was fun watching them interact with each other and seeing the different roles they play.

I got to watch their mad soccer skills, see their garden that is growing all sorts of things and just witness ‘family’.  It was a great session!!  :)

Five under four… {Phoenix Child Photographer}

Five cuties all four years old and under.  Three of them around the one year mark.  Throw in some random cactus grabbing, a fever and a cough, plenty of dirt and chocolate frosting and that describes our session.  I had a blast!  :D   So fun to see all of their personalities come out as we got further into the session.

I think they enjoyed the communal birthday cake at the end.  It was a cute owl cake at the beginning…hehehe…

Happy people…{Surprise Family Photographer}

I have met the best people since we started homeschooling almost a year ago.  This is one of those families.  They had the grandparents in town too, so they wanted to schedule a session during that time.  I love that idea!   We had a slight chance of rain and shortly after we got there the dark clouds came and I was slightly worried!  But we had nothing to worry about, the rain stayed away long enough for us!

I had to include some images of both sets of adults. I love laughter, I get so happy just looking at these!  :)

Glendale First Saturday {Glendale Arizona Photographer}

What are you doing Saturday?  The weather is going to be in the 60′s!  Downtown Glendale is having their second First Saturday of the season. First Saturdays is a free monthly artist event on the first Saturday of each month in the recently renovated walkway off of 58th Avenue (just north of Glendale Avenue.) It is a continuation of Glendale’s Artwerks initiative, attracting residents and visitors from all over the state.

I will be doing mini mini sessions (approximately 5min)  there all day on Saturday, from 10am to 4pm!  You get a disk of all images for $25.  It is great if you just wanted some shots to update your current picture selections!  I will be doing this in conjunction with the children’s boutique Henny & Ev.  They are a great little store, gently used clothes as well as wonderful handmade items from around the state.  She sells books for kids for a great price too!   There is a wonderful bakery next door as well…I sampled a lovely sweet buttermilk pie there!

I look forward to seeing any of you there!  Here is a sample of the images that I took the other day there!  Even if I don’t see you there for photos, you should try and stop in there sometime!  :)

Little bundle of Ben..{Scottsdale Newborn Photographer}

After having my last two newborn sessions with babies that were three and four weeks old, it changed things up again to have one only seven days old.  :D   Mr. Benjamin came a little early and missed out on the fun things that I bought just for a little boy session!  That’s ok, everyone was patiently awaiting his arrival…  :D

He really enjoyed being bundled up all snug like, but we were able to get that off of him for a bit and he didn’t seem to mind!  Of course, babies love the warmth and I think that helped…the adults on the other hand…well, we got used to it.  hehee.  Check out this cutie!
