Jeffy to a job in North Carolina so we are moving there…and by the looks of it, sooner rather than later! Crazy!

He has never lived anywhere else so this will be such an experience for him!

We have talked about moving off and on for years. I always said that if was right that it happened..that it would just fall into place easily. Everything has been pretty easy!

I will certainly miss things here.. Family of course…and I have made some great friends that I will be so sad to leave. My photography clients will surely be missed! We had to get rid of the rats and tortoises too. And our house…I love our house so much! I hope it eventually gets into the hands of a great family. Our neighborhood is so awesome and they deserve some nice new neighbors..

Our plan is to get an RV and drive all the way there. We will have to take it slow as sometimes Jeffy has a tendency to get sleepy while driving and I am not about to drive an RV.. So if we have to stop, we have to stop. I think it will be an adventure for sure!

I will be updating this frequently (I hope) along the way. It will give me something to do while we make the long drive!

I think I have at least one reader.. :waving: So hopefully this won’t be too boring. hehe We will be driving through NM, TX, OK, um..not sure which state next, then TN and finally NC.

Oh the cuteness! Gracie just turned one and guess what she got? A baby brother! Ok, so it wasn’t on her birthday, but pretty close! It is so fun watching siblings together, even at this young age. I am hoping that the little guy starts figuring out the whole sleeping thing, I remember that time quite vividly! But he is just the cutest little guy! I enjoyed spending my morning with them all…

Big Sis.. {Peoria Maternity Photographer}

It was almost exactly a year ago that I was doing another maternity session for this couple. That resulted in this little cutie, Big Sis. They are due with a little boy this month and I can’t wait to see him! We had to scramble to do the session as she thought she was going to have him sooner rather than later! The day we met was so cold and windy! Brrr!! But we did it, and I think we got some fun shots!

Almost three weeks…{Ahwatukee Newborn Photographer}

I am thinking this might be the year of the boy! Another boy, this time almost three weeks old. He wanted to stay awake so he didn’t miss anything! I think we caught him sleeping for..oh…a minute and a half.

I loved all of the colors in his room, so bright and fun! It was great chatting with his parents. I see a trend of me doing that. They were quite accommodating as well, seeing as I had hurt my back the day before. Glad to say it is all better now!

Seeing a new baby is always a pleasure. I typically see newborns within the first ten days so this guy was completely different than my typical ‘newborn’. Once we figured out that he just wanted to be held the whole time, things went quite smooth! I enjoyed talking with mom and dad, I am afraid I talked their ears off..I have a habit of doing that..ha!

He is such a cutie though, even got a grin or two. And his hair…LOVE!!!

I often get asked what my favorite thing is to photograph. That is a hard question to answer! Maternity/Newborns are always great because it is just…new. I love everything about maternity…the anticipation.. And then the newborns..well, who could not love those?? You get the toddlers running around keeping you on your toes…the preteens that wonder who’s idea it was do do photos to begin with, but secretly they like it..the seniors who are excited and nervous to be done with high school..

But back down to the babies a bit…you know, that age riiiight before they start crawling around getting into things. You sit them down..and they stay there. And laugh. (Over something so simple as a ball bouncing). And look at you with a puzzled expression. And have rubber band wrists…you know what I am talking about. The age between 6-8 months or so is way up there in my ‘favorite’ ages to photograph. Honestly, I can’t pick just one age…but I do favor these because I don’t get to see this age as often as the others, so I treasure them when I can…

This little guy was due on my birthday. We didn’t even think he would make it that far, his brother came three weeks early. Alas, my birthday came and went and no sign of Ezra. He did come the next day though! A couple more pounds heavier than his brother did when he was born!

I so enjoy this family and I am so thankful they wanted me to come back for this little fellow..

This extended family had never been to Arizona before…They came from all over the country to celebrate a birthday. How fun is that? We thought we would start out with a group shot that would be more ‘posed’ and well, you can tell by the first image this is as posed as it got. Such a fun family. Between shivers because of the surprisingly cold morning, I was laughing and laughing…the sibling shots were just…fantastic, ha! I have had the best large families this season, I love it!!

I met Tucker quite a few years ago…online of all places. A bunch of us played this online game, I won’t mention which one… :ahem: He told me so long ago that he wanted me to do his senior photos. I thought nothing of it! And here we are, his senior year and I did his photos! And not only that, we did them on the day he graduated! Yep, he graduated early! He is a smart one! In just a few months he will be leaving for the army. I can’t wait to see what else he does with his life…
