Thanks for visiting my blog! I am so glad you are here!

This will be a place where I will post not only your sneak peeks from sessions...but all sorts of other things that will help you get to know me and the things that I like!

Who am I anyway? I am a wife, mother, child, sister, aunt, granddaughter. I am also a photographer. I cherish the titles that being part of a family brings, and I cherish the different family dynamics that I see in all of you. I am so thankful that I am let into your lives and can witness all that is unique about each of your families.

Then...there is the me that loves reading, chocolate and facebook...who loves making silly faces and leaping through the house. I am quiet..but I can be quite silly too. I find that makes it easy for me to relate to kids of any age, and that includes parents. :D

I am thinking that my new mommas are some of the coolest ever.  Last few maternity sessions I have done they have braved the summer day temps for their outdoor sessions.  This session was so awesome!  Photogs, talk about full sun, I had me some full sun…lol. 

How cute are they?   I got a glimpse of a little Sandra Bullock in some of the pics as I was going through them, wonder if that’s ever been mentioned before…  :D   They are such a fun couple, I was laughing like an old friend within minutes of meeting them…  And check out the boots!  LOVE!

Class of ‘11!! {Glendale Senior Photographer}

Well, if my last session I posted was one of the hottest days of the year….the day of this session had to have been the most humid!  I have lived in Florida for a couple years and I swear it felt just.like.that….  AND yet, Ashley rocked her session.   :)  

Ashley is beautiful inside as well as out, and smart too…whooo boy!  I had a great time at your session, in spite of the weather, hehehe.  I hope you enjoy your sneak peek at your pics!

Just stuff…

I took a week off from blogging, did you miss me?  :D   The time between July 17th and August 2nd is just crazy around here, and this year even more so!  We have my sons birthday on the 17th, our anniversary on the 24th and my daughters birthday on the 2nd, which this year, just so happened to be the first day of school!  I have never had a child with their birthday at school before!  :D  

But I am back now!  And for the month of August, I will be discounting my top five collections 20%  Can you believe it?  One of those is reallllllly good if you were looking for digital images folks!  If you book a session for August, you can take advantage of this deal, just mention that you saw it on the blog! 

Is everyone ready for back to school?  My kids obviously went back already, but I know a lot of people are starting on the 9th.  I hope everyone has great first days!

I totally love those of you that have sent me images of your children/family over the summer, it is always a joy to catch up like that just a bit!   We didn’t take a vacation this summer, what with moving and all…but hopefully next time!  :)

I can’t blog without posting an image, so I will leave this one.  It is similar to the one that my son took of my husband and I but I love it so much.  Plus, with all of this family stuff happening around here, I felt it was the perfect image…

I saw Adelyn on her actual birthday!  Despite getting shots first thing in the morning, she did pretty well!  :)   I hear she took a pretty good nap afterwards, I don’t blame her! 

And look, her little tutu onesie has my business colors!  Awwww…  :D

Fourteen years ago it was a hot summer day in the middle of the week.

Fourteen years ago I was a lot younger than I am now…

Fourteen years ago I was surrounded by my family and a great  friend.

Fourteen years ago I giggled when there was talk of precious metal.

Fourteen years ago people wanted to doubt.

Fourteen years ago I knew I would prove them wrong.

Fourteen years ago I had no idea where I would be in fourteen years.

Fourteen years ago I married my best friend.

Friday 5! {July 23rd edition}

Wow, I can’t believe next weekend is August…has this month gone pretty fast for everyone else or is it just me?   I have had such fun sessions this month…so excited to see what August brings!! 

Let’s start this Friday 5, shall we?  :D

1.   Oh, for a while now I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to the music of Pomplamoose on Youtube.  They are both so great together!  If you haven’t heard of them, you can check them out here..  http://www.youtube.com/user/PomplamooseMusic?feature=chclk  And when I did that, I noticed that Nataly has partnered with another girl named Lauren on another channel!  How fun!  I just love it!  You can check it out here. http://www.youtube.com/user/MyTerribleFriend

2.  What do you do while your baby sleeps?  Do you sleep too like they say you are supposed to?  Probably not, right?  It’s usually doing housework, watching tv or whatever.  Well, I found a blog of a mom that imagines what her baby might be dreaming of and stages little scenarios and puts her baby in them while she is sleeping.  Some of them are so cute.. 3.  This blog is so awesome.  This person writes great messages on a sticky note and leaves them all around the city in public spots.  The messages are so right on, that I am sure that someone who needs to see it at that particular time, will.  What a fantastic idea!  You have to read them!  http://thingsweforget.blogspot.com/

4.  Ok, who out there has an iphone??  I found this little movie short that was filmed and edited all with using an iphone.  I found it to be pretty dang cool.  They show a behind the scenes after the movie as well…it is only a few minutes long…don’t be afraid to check it out here: http://vimeo.com/12819723

5.  Do you use Craigslist?  I do!  This teenager in CA used it over the course of two years…he started with a cell phone and bartered his way to a convertible Porshe!  How fun!  You can read the story here..  http://www.whittierdailynews.com/ci_15535695

What to wear?! {July 21st edition}

What a great time to go shopping for summer clothes!  Everyone is bringing in their fall stuff and discounting the shorts and tees!  Always good for us as we have a couple months of summer left!   This is another ‘family’ suggestion.  A little brighter and more casual than last weeks family.

Friday 5! {July 16th edition}

Well, I think I was officially spoiled by the high temps we were having for the first half of July..  Summer has come in with a bang!   How are you staying cool this summer?   I confess we stayed in a lot last week…which meant I spent more time on the internet finding fun stuff for you all!  :D

1.  This company is pretty dang cool.  They work with women all over the world that make all sorts of things…jewelry, toys, bags and home decor!   Eighteen countries are represented I believe!  There are some really unique things that are so worth checking out!!  http://globalsistergoods.com/

2.  Old Spice.  Tell me you have seen the Old Spice commercials?  I was quite excited when, earlier this week, I had noticed the newest one.  But THEN….THEN!!…someone mentioned that Mr. Old Spice Man was on twitter and responding to people’s tweets!  Oh.my.goodness.  I was hooked.  There were marriage proposals, flirting with Alyssa Milano, it goes on and on… Alyssa Milano even made her own video to him!  There have been a few spoofs popping up too that are quite entertaining…Anyway, here is the link to his twitter page…Enjoy!  :D   http://twitter.com/oldspice

3. Cupcakes…if you are on my personal facebook page, you know how much I like cupcakes.  I might talk about them..um..every now and again.  ;)   Hey, I don’t do Sprinkles updates anymore!!  I saw this website and I fell in love with all the funky cupcake designs!  Usually cupcake items are all girly and pink…not these!!  I have a wish list…seriously.  http://shop.johnnycupcakes.com/shop/

4. 5.  Did you grow up here?  I did!  Born and raised!  Kind of hard to come across a native anymore…  Did you know that we once had an amusement park?  It was called Legend City.   I didn’t go there all that often but I do remember it!  I always wonder what it would look like now if it were still there!  http://www.legend-city.com/

What to Wear?! {July 14th edition}

I know it is blazing hot out there…but people are already doing holiday portrait sessions!   This is for a Mom, Dad and baby boy..  The colors aren’t really bright because they were wanting to go to a place where the background would be quite varied.  That is one important thing to consider when you are planning what to wear for your photo session!  Next week I will have bright clothes for kids!  :D

Mom and Dad were also wanting some shots of them together, so I made sure that they would look good together as well as separate…
